Rod Mill Structure

【Rod Mill Parts】The structure of the rod mill is the same as the ball mill. The main difference is that the grinding media inside the rod mill is steel rods, while the ball mill adopts steel ball as the grinding media. Besides, the rod mill does not use grate plates for material discharging but applies open type, overflow type, or peripheral type discharge device.
【Working Principle of Rod mill】The rod mill is mainly composed of the feeding part, cylinder, transmission device, coupling, discharging part, steel rod, lining plate, and so on. The motor drives the cylinder to rotate through a reducer and a big gear. The cylinder is filled with grinding media (steel rod) and raw material. Under the action of centrifugal force and friction, they are lifted to a certain height, then drop and collide with each other to achieve the purpose of grinding.
